Re: Any creative ways to ask my bridesmaids??

I plan on doing this for my BP. You can get them a bridesmaid 'handbook' type of book. There are many in decent sized Barnes and Noble Stores. There are flower girl and ring bearer books too that are children's books. They show exactly what will happen in a story form so the lil ones understand.

Nothing is more original than talking from your heart. Take each one out to lunch/dinner/brunch/cocktails/etc and ask them.

Have fun with it.

Re: Any creative ways to ask my bridesmaids??

I think they are all original, speaking to them in person or doing a little love note. my girlfriend asked me by taking me to lunch to our favorite resturant. It was my birthday too. After lunch before dessert, she handed me my 'gift' it was a box full of little do-dads. Wrapped individually, a small box of safety pins, travel size hairspray, deodorant, lipgloss, blotting tissues, waterproof mascara, travel size toothpast, gum, tic-tacs, little perfume, and hair pins. I was like, Um, are we going away???? She said, 'no, these are things you might need to have on you if you say yes to being my bridesmaid' I loved it, I cried and said, 'you mean we are not going away!!!!!'
I really loved it and will never forget it. Have fun what ever you choose to do.

I love the cards from Itty Bitty Ink.

They have them for the whole wedding party.

Re: Any creative ways to ask my bridesmaids??

I made them little tri-fold cards on my computer that said:

'If I promise never to make you wear something like this...
[pic of awful 80s bridesmaid dress complete with huge sleeves]

And never to ask you to plan the kind of event in which I would have to wear something like this...
[pic of bachelorette party veil with little plastic penises all over it]

Would you maybe consider being my bridesmaid?'

And then I gave them t-shirts I made that said 'Iconoclastic hyperliterate radical bridesmaid from hell.'

They were really into it.

Re: Any creative ways to ask my bridesmaids??

My friend did a puzzle and sent it to all her BM's in pieces and they had to put it together and when it was done it asked them to be her bride maids! Not sure where she got it from, but it was adorable!

Re: Any creative ways to ask my bridesmaids??

I ended up giving each of my bridesmaids a rose in their favorite color and attached the meaning of the colored rose to the stem.

I had them all over one night and I secretly called them in one by one so I can ask them individually and hand them their rose.

It was cute....they all came out crying.....

Re: Any creative ways to ask my bridesmaids??

This may be the most silliest post but this is how I asked my Maid of Honor. (First of all everyone knew she was going to be the MOH, except her since she knew my sister was going to be the Matron of Honor.)
It was this time last year (Easter season) and we went shopping to the grocery store and she says, ' Oh I need matzohs!' (we're not Jewish, but love the stuff!) We couldn't find a box anywhere! The next day I found a store that had a box and I bought it. I asked her to come over and there on my table was the box. Before she could open it I said to her, pointing to the words in Hebrew on the box, 'Do you know what that says?' as she stared at me all puzzled. I said, 'it reads --'Will you be my Maid of Honor?' She hugged me and screamed YES! We ate the matzohs together and still chuckle everytime we see a box of them!
