Did anyone plan a wedding and buy a house at the same time?

It's so amazing how broke we'll be after the wedding and buying our house. It's definitely exciting....but we may need to open some envelopes after the wedding!!

I am planning a wedding and buying a house at the same time..... this is definetely going to an 'exciting' year for us. I will have to keep my sanity in check!

My husband and I did.

We purchased our home on April 29th and got married on May 28th.

It must be really exciting!! But at the same time- make sure you have SOMETHING to fall back on. You never know what kind of emergencies and last-minute things will come up, house or otherwise.

We'll be closing either the week before or the week after I take the bar exam, and then we're getting married 1 month later...yup, just a LITTLE bit to do!

We got married, bought a house, had a baby, bought 2 new cars and a camper all in one year

Closed in early April. Wedding in November!!!

We'll be doing the same. We're closing Oct 1st and getting married Nov. It will all be worth it in the end.

Yes it's extremely stressful and exciting! We're closing today and the wedding's 10/9. I don't know how people did it all within a month or two. I feel like this isn't enough time to finish planning the wedding and getting the house in shape!

We are...It is so exciting but still so stressful! Luckily we budgeted very well for the wedding & are able to put the 20% on the house...It is going to be tight in the beginning but that is part of life!

We are going to closing the end of this month and we get married 9/24/05. There is so much to do but I wouldnt have it any other way. It is all very exciting

Well, I'm planning my wedding and selling my mom's co-op! She's not very paper-work / lawyer / real estate agent / potential buyer / accountant friendly!!!!!

Oh yea, and planning our move to North Carolina as soon as the co-op is sold

This was us too!
I changed jobs in May, we closed on our house June 9th and got married June 26th! It was a lot but it all worked out fine!

We're closing next week and getting married 10/14. At least we'll have some time in between to straighten out our finances. I was looking at the balances due last night and it's scary

We closed on our condo a month after the wedding and the wedding money definitely went towards the downpayment.

we bought a house 3/31 and we are getting married 4/22/06

its crazy but i want a house to come home to after the wedding.

We just went into contract....clsoing June 15 .But we are real happy about it. We wanted it this way. And we are saving and doing what we can.
