Re: CLM brides- questions for Nick thread!
Do you get a rehearsal before the wedding? If it is done day of, how is it handled if the bride and groom don't want to see each other?Regarding the Yacht, what happens when you are married at CLM. Do you go to the yacht right after ceremony?
For the children 5 and under that are free, what are the meals? Do vendors get the same meals as guests and where do they sit?
Are you able to have lit candles on the tables with your centerpeices?
How many chairs can be accomodated in the outdoor ceremony area?
I'm drawing a blank for now. I know I have some more. :)

Re: CLM brides- questions for Nick thread!
I just saw this and can answer a couple from my own experience from my wedding. There were lit taper candles on the tables along with my centerpieces which already had candles in the pedestal - the whole effect looked beautiful. We were thinking of doing the rose petals down the aisle (I got married outside there) but changed out mind because we figured since it was outside on the water, they'd probably blow away and it would be a waste.

Re: CLM brides- questions for Nick thread!
Hey guys...I was just at CLM on MOnday and asked a bunch of those questions....you also get a sheet with FAQ when you do your menu and a bunch of those are on it....SO in case you want to know here are some answers:Hall pictures---you need to find out what is going on there that day to see if you can take pics there before or when you can.
Menu--You set up an appt with them about 6-8 weeks in advance to pick your menu and cake as well as tentative seating chart (and get placecards from them if you are using theirs)
Yacht--When you arrive for the cocktail hour you are greeted by Nick and the bridal attendant. They take you over to board the boat. You go out there for a little while, long enough for your photographer to get some pictures, probably 15-20 minutes and then come in.
Hope that helps!

My seating plan has about 13 tables around the dance floor before going back into the bar area.

What do the place cards look like? They are plain white and say Chateau La Mer in Gold. Below That it says Guest I think and then the next line below that says Table I think. They do fold in half so the will stand up the long way.
Do they print the names on them or do we?
We need to visit the calligrapher yet again ugh
What bakeries can we/can't we use? Theres two. I know Nick recommends Black Forest Bakery.

Re: CLM brides- questions for Nick thread!
If the bridal suite is not done would they be able to set up the bridal party in that other room upstairs across from the bridal suite? Of course if they do not have another event going on there because the bridal suite is just too small for my bridal party.

The other bakery is Villa Bella on Montaulk Highway right in Lindenhurst. Their cookies/pastires are what they serve at the tasting and they are SO good! I am going to check them out for the cake cuz I have heard mixed things about Black Forrest.

Re: CLM brides- questions for Nick thread!
If you pick one of the cakes from the book (which we did), it is from Black Forrest and included, otherwise there may be additional charges. There are a lot of options for looks/flavors of cake, filling, etc. We picked a chocolate cake with cannoli filling with butter cream....can't wait!
