All-inclusive resorts question?

We were originally going to Hawaii but, are now thinking of and all inclusive resort stay.

Where is everyone going and what resort?
I checked out sandals and I would like to know where the nicest resort is located. Also I want a place where you are able to walk around outside of the resort.
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: All-inclusive resorts question?

We are staying at Sans Souci in Ocho Rios Jamaica- But you really can't walk around outside the resort. For that you should look into Negril- the Grand Lido's are supposed to be great as are the Couple's resorts. I have heard that Sandals Negril is looking a little run down.

Check out www.chris-n-cheryl.com com and click on the Sandals Whitehouse link for reviews and info on all inclusives in Jamaica.

Another good site is www.tropictravelonline.com.

We're staying at Royal Hideaway in Mexico.
www.royalhideaway.com. Not sure if its safe to go too far beyond the resort, we do plan on visiting the Mayan ruins and going to a shopping mall, that I heard is nearby though.

Re: All-inclusive resorts question?

We stayed at the Sandals Grande St. Lucian. If you like nightlife I wouldn't recommend it. We were kind of bored.

I have stayed there and it is truly amazing!!!! The restaurants are all great and so is the guacamole at the bar by the pool!! The service was great. The rooms were very nice and each villa has it's own concierge. I can't wait to go back.
