Be HONEST! do you keep favors from special events or just toss em? explain.

i normally toss em. if i feel i absolutely have no use for them i'll toss it. but if the favor is from someone who's truly special to me then i would consider keeping it. i have enough clutter as it is so i feel any added objects is too much for me to handle. doesn't matter if the favor's a mini anything.

toss everything. The only person's I ever kept was from my cousin's wedding (also my MOH) ... I'm saving it for her 25th Anniversary and will give her the favor, match books, menu's, thank you's, donation scrolls, etc's in a gift basket.

It truly depends on what the favor was and how close I was to the couple in question

I rarely save anything...I HATE clutter...usually I toss...there was only one or two favors from recent weddings that I went to that I saved...

that is why you should give something of either everyday use or something eatibleor drinkable. JMO

Depends on what it is...if its a trinket I toss it, if I can use it (wine stopper, bottle opener, etc.) then I keep it. I like "usable" favors...

I keep them, but I don't want to. A lot of the time I keep them ebcause I feel abd throwing them out, but I'm about to do some serious cleaning, and I'm goign to throw most of it out. The only things I've really kept and liked were things that I had a particular interest in. I got a dolphin bottle openner and I love dolphins, or else I'd have tossed it. I have one heart wine stopper I use and I throw away all subsequent ones. measuring cups and spoons I'm going t use. I'm a big baker. My sister gave out these little mikasa bowls and they match everything and I definitey use them with candles. I perosnally can't stand anything with the couple's name on it. My cousin, who I love very dearly gave out vases with his name and his wife's name and the date. What am i going to do with it, seriously?

So the answer is, if I cna use them Ill keep the, if not I eventually throw them out. FH keeps all of the yarmulkes he gets from events and then when we use them at passover or something you can be like "oh this is form so and so's wedding" or whatever..but that's something somewhat useful..but I don't know what to do with the 2 dozen of them that he has..lol

Depends on who it is from and what it is! If it were my sister and it was something stupid Id keep it. If I got a winestopper from someone I could care less about, Id keep it.

Most of the time they don't even make it home with me. If they do, though, I toss them.

Depends on what it is, if it is useful I keep it, ugly or knicknack, I get rid of it. I rarely throw away though. I usually give it to someone who might want it or donate to thrift store.

It depends - I prefer favors that I can either use or eat (yum), but if the favor is from someone I'm really close to, then I'll save it - at least for a little while.

It depends. Some things I can use (like the simple, crystal ice bucket from my MOH's wedding) some things I have enough of (candles)

Food-gets eaten.

Oh yeah, if it is something nice but not my style (like a candle holder or picture frame) I may regift it to a person who I don't know well.

I keep useful favors (platters, cake servers, candles, frames, etc.) All others are tossed out.

We usually hold on to things, but since we're moving we've tossed all favorsl. I feel bad throwing stuff away that people spent money on, but then again if it was something I would actually use, it wouldn't get tossed.

I've kept just about everything. I would feel awful throwing something away that someone spent money on. If I was the type to toss everything, I'd leave it on the table and let someone else have it.

i wouldn't leave it behind only because i don't want the bride/groom to feel bad that one of their guests didn't like their selected favor of choice. due to this, i would take the gift with me and then toss it when i get home. i would toss it in a nearby trash bin but that might result in the bride / groom seeing it in the trash can. but.. if the gift is from someone really special to me i'll think about keeping it long term.

looks like the KEEPERS are trailing behind and the TOSSERS and DEPENDS 9no pun intended) are neck and neck! i guess we're not all the sentimental
