Macy*s Bridal Salon Question?

Has anybody gotten their dress from Macy*s Bridal Salon in Smith HAven Mall? If so, were you happy with them? were you happy with the alterations?

Re: Macy*s Bridal Salon Question?

I did and although they ere not the cheapest out there I as completely satisified. I had 2 fittings (which typically are on a week night but you can get a weekend if you need to)

My seamstress was wonderful and every concern I had was addressed (Rosie I believe)

Re: Macy*s Bridal Salon Question?

I ordered my dress, my Mom's dress and all BM dresses from there. They match prices!!! Don't forget!! They wanted over $200 dollars for the BM dress, and I got a quote from RK Bridal and they matched, so they are only paying $150 now. My dress was $1100 and my Mom's was $500.

Alot of the peopel that work there are very rude and nasty, but they have gorgeous gowns, etc. I don't mind nasty, as long as they get the job done... we'll see...

Re: Macy*s Bridal Salon Question?

they were super rude and nasty to me when i went to try on dresses... they were looking down at me because i was interested in trying on a Maggie dress instead of a Demetrious dress... so im not a fan of the place...

I didnt get my dress there, however, I had gone there several times to try on and the girl that always helped me, her name is LuAnn, was sweetest person ever.

Re: Macy*s Bridal Salon Question?

I got mine there and I have no complaints. There are a few woman there during the day that had pretty lousy attitudes, but I had fun when I went back in the evening. Lucy was my seamstress and she did an awesome job!

Re: Macy*s Bridal Salon Question?

I did, and I had a really great experience - Rosie was my seamstress too, and she was so sweet. The ladies there are helpful, kind, and honest, which I like. My sis just bought her dress there, too.

Re: Macy*s Bridal Salon Question?

I have good and bad to share.
My friend who got married in Feb. got her dress there. Her dress came in a month after they said it would.....only about a week before her wedding! She got her alterations done on the outside.

The better news....my mom bought her MOB dress there...pretty good so far. She went for her first fitting last week.....I think she had Rosie too.....she was really nice.

Re: Macy*s Bridal Salon Question?

Well Hi there ladies, I have been reading things on this site for advice, since I am planning a wedding of my own, and it's nice to get reviews etc.. of different vendors. But when i saw my name, I knew I had to register and say hi.

I am LuAnn, and I want to thank you for the compliments. I do try to make sure my brides are very comfortable and don't feel too pressured, I think since I am in YOUR shoes at the moment, I understand how difficult the 'Dress' decision can be. Although, that still doesn't guarentee a good mood 100% of the time!...hehe

I want to comment first on the Maggie Dresses... I apologize if you felt that someone was looking down at you, we actually LOVE our Maggie dresses, and Love how our brides react to them. If someone made a face, it's more our disappointment that we are not showcasing them as we used to, and not getting the new samples in. Demetrios line is expanding, therefore we are really trying to showcase these dresses at the moment, but we can still get the Maggies, and do try to be price competitive.

Secondly, I can only hope that I can bring your comments back to the salon, and improvements can be made, we are growing right now, and are coming out with MANY new styles, always a work in progress. Good Luck to all of you in making your dreams come true!

Re: Macy*s Bridal Salon Question?

My expereince so far has been great. The day I bought my dress everyone was very helpful and completely showed me the ropes in terms of what dresses looked best on me. I got a Maggie dress and the staff agreed it was perfect for me. My dress hould be in soon an dI cant wiat to see it again!

Also I have 9 bridesmaids and they are in 4 different dresses and the staff really helped me coordinate. Been great!!
