What did you tip your bridal attendant if you had a DOC? Could you request not to have one?

I am using Rosalie as my DOC, but I also have a bridal attendant at WM. I realize that once I get there, and the bridal attendant realizes that I already have help, that she might become MIA. (I have read this before in someone else's review). I would hate to tip another person out that I don't need- is it possible to request not to have her there- or would you reccommend just using all the help I could get?

Thanks!

Use all the help you can get. Your bridal attendant is specifically for you, your DOC may be off overeeing other things. If your bridal attendant don't do a good job, then don't tip. Tips are for GOOD service.

Re: What did you tip your bridal attendant if you had a DOC? Could you request not to have one?

I have a DOC and I will have my Bridal Attendant also. The bridal attendant will be completely attending to me - making sure I have drinks, something to eat, helping me with my dress, etc., whereas my DOC will be attending to not just me but to making sure everything that I want is happening...making sure my placecards are set up right, making sure my photog is taking my must have pics, etc...

I tipped the bridal attendant $150 bucks and then I gave my DOC a $150 gift cert for dinner at the Carltun (she got married there too), and her assistant $100.

Re: What did you tip your bridal attendant if you had a DOC? Could you request not to have one?

My hall said they only recommend a $75 tip for the attendant. I figure it's not too much money (in the grand scheme of the wedding) and it's not a bad idea to have someone else there just in case my DOC is off dealing with vendors and I need help in the bridal suite with something.
