Newlyweds: Did anyone give you a gift after the wedding?

I know ettiquite says guests have up to a year to give a gift. Did anyone actually give you gifts after the wedding? Just wondering if anyone does it.

YES!

The day we returned from our honeymoon, one of our guests gave us a gift. (a $14 bowl from the Mikasa outlet- I'm not trying to be stingy, but this woman is a beyotch).

People who did not attend sent cards with checks for up to 3 months after the wedding.

And, then before we know it, we started received anniversary gifts. GOSH, THE TIME FLIES BY!!!

Yup, I received a few gifts a few weeks up to a few months after.

Yes, we got a very generous gift at Christmas time (we were married in Nov.). I think the person did not want to give us the check the day of the wedding. We also got a few things from our registry mailed to us shortly after the wedding.

Yes, we got a frying pan last month from someone who attended the wedding and gave nothing the day of, 6 months after the wedding.

No, we got a few gifts before the wedding from people who didn't come, but nothing after.

We got a gorgeous Waterford vase from my parent's neighbor a few months after the wedding.
I was so excited becauase it was one of my favorite things that I registered for

.
And it was especially sweet because they weren't even invited to the wedding

Friends who couldn't make the wedding due to death in their family took us out to dinner and gave us our wedding gift several months after the wedding, I thought that was very nice of them.

We were getting gifts for about 2-3 months after the wedding from people who could not attend. We were shocked at how much we got after the wedding!

We got a few checks recently. I honestly wasnt expecting anything.

Yes, we have received envelopes from 4 guests so far. They all attended but didn't give a gift at the time.

Yes we did received quite a few gifts after the wedding ... one from DH's cousin about 6 months after the wedding, which shocked me because I NEVER thought these dummy heads would bother to send a gift

Actually part of my boss' gift JUST arrived last month (we've been married 1 year this July!! )

BUT it was a fabulous gift, the dessert of the month club for 1 year (yes hes trying to make me even fatter than I am!!)

..and he'd already given me money at the wedding, so this was an added surprise
