Had my Shower on Sat...
It was crazy- not like any shower I ever went too
My sister and mom threw me a Mexican Fiesta in the backyard complete with a four piece Marachi band, a 'this is your life hour' where friends and family told funny stories about me, a professionally done DVD slide show of pictures of FH and I to our wedding music, a question period where my sister asked me questions about my FH that I had to answer correctly or I had to drink, a homemade 'senorita' that we could stand behind and take pics with our faces in the cutouts which my sister then printed as thank yous for me, a full mexican feast feast prepared solely by my mom with fajaitas, vera cruz fish, totasta apps, gazpacho in little cups, -incredible! Everyone kept saying, this isn't like a shower, when is she opening the gifts??? Well, since a majority of them were gift cards and cash since I live OTT, we waited until most of the guests went home and did it while having some beers on the deck. Very untraditional, which is just like me- I was so happy. I had a blast- it was so much fun. MY FH aunt called the next day and she is VERY anti-wedding- 80 and never been married. She called FH the next morning at 8 am to rave how it was so much fun- like a party She was so surprized and happy. It was really funny.My best gift was a DVD CAMCORDER from my crazy sister and upgraded by her friends. I was shocked to say the least. And I got the kitchen aid mixer, shipped to me from my mom. So now I really am a bride!!!
