Anyone who is using a photographer for their wedding, please respond...

Without naming any company................

In your search for a photographer, did you find that most places nowadays automatically offer a second (or 'photojournalistic') photographer?

In your search for a photographer, did you find that most places nowadays automatically offer a second (or 'photojournalistic') photographer?

It's part of my package to have two photographers on my day but I found in my search that other companies generally charged extra for the second person (but definitely not all).

nope.

We hired a photographer who owns his own business. It's just him & an assistant. I'm sure he could have gotten a 2nd photographer if we asked him to, but that's not normally how he works.

the one i chose came with 2 photographers, but most companies i looked at wanted to charge me more for a second photographer...but some came with an assistant, but that is different from a 2nd photographer

most companies we looked at charged for a second photographer. Only a few packages included 2 photographers.

we hired to owner of the co and 2 assistants.

to have the photo journilist put us over our budget.

There was one we saw who had this, but the rest was just the photog and an assistant, if needed.

I am using a husband and wife team and that was not extra. I believe they do charge extra for another photographer, photojournalist, etc.

Okay...Maybe I worded it wrong. Maybe they don't throw it in or automatically include it in your package---my question I guess is more: 'Did you feel like this was offered everywhere you went?'

I know just four-five years ago when friends and family were getting married, this concept was virtually non-existant...Now, whether you choose to take advantage of it or not, I feel like it's out there a whole lot more than it ever was.

in that case ...yes, i feel that it is offerred much more now than was in the past years

it all depends on price and quality.. 2 photographers does not = many pictures for some companies...

depending on where you go, price out and look at quality ...
