Re: The second runner up choice of hall for us would have been...

We had no second choice... I saw JA/TVYC and I fell in love with the view! The only other place I looked at was Captain Bill's - I loved the new building, but I didn't like that there was no view from the room.

We only went to see the one hall we ended up picking... but the only other one we really wanted to check out was Villa Lombardis... we just knew the price would be higher so we didn't bother!

Re: The second runner up choice of hall for us would have been...

Leonard's. I loved the chapel, and the cocktail rooms were beautiful. But with JT we had a lower minimum (which we actually didn't need), and I love how the rooms are decorated to have the outside elements inside. I always wanted an outdoor wedding, but didn't want to chance it with rain. Now I'm getting married under the stars (in the Dome room) and our C-hour room has plants and vines hanging from the ceiling.

ETA: oops, sorry...forgot I was peeking on the 05 board...

Re: The second runner up choice of hall for us would have been...

My first runner up was the Vanderbilt Mansion, and after going to SFP's wedding, I really regret it. But my date wasnt available
My second runner up was the Woodbury Country Club, but the room we wanted was also unavailable and this was 19 MONTHS in advance!

WOW!!!!!

I didn't really have a 2nd choice- we would have had to pay a LOT more for anywhere else that was central to all our guests.

Re: The second runner up choice of hall for us would have been...

I only looked at 3 halls in one day - WM was the third. I hate shopping and had been to a wedding at WM before, so I was very excited to book there.

I really liked the North Ritz Club. . . and if I were having a smaller wedding I'd definitely look into the George Washington Manor - I love it there.

Never have been to Bourne Mansion, DeSeversky, and Vanderbilt Mansion - but I love their websites and think they're beautiful.
