Cool and exciting thing happened to me last night!!!

A few of you may have read that I was going to another event with the Knot and Michael C. Fina. I am registered there, so I have been to 3 since my engagement.

I am a pretty chatty and friendly girl, so the last few times I got to talking to the Knot PR dept, and they have always remembered me and my wedding (which I think is sweet)

anyway, I was talking to them about my theme, and they all loved it so much they want me to keep them posted and email my pics for possible use as a wedding in their mag!!!

they are really down to earth and sweet, and I have their email address to keep them updated.

I feel silly for being so excited, but I am. I hope everything works out and my wedding is used to inspire future brides out there struggling to come up with things like we are now!!!

Yes, I am excited- I really hope my ideas come together well.

As Noiva06 said, I am doing a Shakespearean themed wedding, since I am a huge fan and my wedding day, coincidentally, is both his birth and death- days.

LOL- do you think this will give me any leverage with my vendors....

I guess I should say I am incorporating elements of Shakespearean times into my wedding, not dressing up like I am in one of his plays. I am using sonnets for table numbers, the program will read Act I, Act II, etc., invites will be handed out in the same manner and in the same style (handtied scrolls on parchment paper personally delivered, for the most part anyway), BM's dresses will be similarly styled, but with modern updates, to the dresses of that time period. flowers used in cps will be types mentioned in his plays/sonnets....

a few other things. I mean, I am not throwing a costume ball after all- I could NEVER get fh to wear tights!

my dress will be custom made, but will look something like this

I think that really WOULD give you leverage with your vendors. Think of the publicity they will get if you mention their name in such a magazine. You should DEFINITELY use that to your advantage!
