Does anyone know of any good Italian resturants in Forest Hills?

We are new to the area (Forest Hills) and we are going out to dinner Sunday w/ DH parents and we need a good resturant to go to. TIA

my sister lives in forsest hilsl off metropolitan.

On metropolitan there is: Luna Sur, La Vigna, and Tuto Bene

On Austin there is Pasta Del Girno
on queens blvd there is: Portofino( acrosss from teh church on teh corner of Ascan and Queens Blvd) and the family rest which is a few blocks east of portofino ion queens blvd

Portofino's is excellent. The lobster ravioli is expensive...but will be one of the best things you'll ever eat.

Wow!! Thanks!!! we are on 68th Ave - on the North Side of Queen Bvd...It's a great area, we love it!!! I think we'll check out Portofino!!! it's the closest to us!! thanks so much

oh she is on the acscan and metroploitan
which is a bit of a walk form you.If you ever have time go for awalk up ascan they have some beautiful houses( mansions like) and then she is at the end of all that ina ncie house but not a mansion ( its semi attached).And on metroploitan there are tons of antique shops and cute places to eata nd have nice lunch

Dee's on Metropolitan Avenue is the best-IMO. But I think it's more Mediterranean than 'Italian.'

Oooh, one of my favorites!!

Portofino is good too, but it is a little pricey.

Nick's Pizza is great but not really restaurant-y enough probably.

Coming from where you guys are, I'd pick Family. It's on QB past Ascan, at like 73rd or something. Oh, on and on the other side of the Blvd.

Da Silvana on Yellowstone Blvd. I think has the best tasting food by far. It is small and removed from the whole Austin St/Metropolitan Ave numbers. I have been to all of the others mentioned and their food blows away the others IMO. (I lived in FH for 27 years and my Mom still lives in FH and we go there whenever we want great Italian)

Oooh oooh - forgot! La Vigna on Metropolitan is EXCELLENT as well!!! Such a pretty atmosphere and really not too too $$.
