Does anyone have their Rehearsal scehdule a week for the wedding?

My parish scheduled the rehearsal a week before the actual date (technically, a week and a day, I'm getting married on a Friday, and it's scheduled for the Thursday the week before, not the night before). I know it's usually done the week of. Did anyone have this happen to them?

When my best friend got married, her rehearsal and RD was 2 weeks before he wedding.

my cousin did this and it is fine... as long as you don't have any OOT'ers.

the only thing was that in that week I forgot how we were entering the pews at the church (instead of just walking straight in, she wanted us to go around them)...but other than that, it worked out!

My church said I have the option of the thursday right before or the week before

It was our choice.

I had mine 2 weeks and 1 day before the wedding. I'm kind gald it wasn't the week of, too many things going on.

We got married on a Saturday morning and our rehersal was the thursday of the week BEFORE. We didn't have a choice because they were all booked, and honestly I'm SO glad we did it that way. We were so busy planning our wedding in under 6 months, plus moving me out of my old classroom and out of my old apartment all a week before the wedding, that we lost our marriage license that we had gotten a month before! You typically bring it to the rehersal and it is signed by your MOH and BM there, and we couldn't find it! Since we had the Rehersal a week in advance, it gave us some extra time to get another copy printed and have it signed in time for the wedding. If we had the rehersal a day or two before the wedding like people typically do, we probably wouldn't have had the license and our father wouldn't have married us!
