Steel drum cocktail hour

Any one using or have used a steel drum band for the cocktail hour??? If so,who and what was the cost???

We are using Soular Rhythm (NJ) they are around $1,200

we are using Jahpan, 850 for 2 drumers for 90 mins

I am also using JahPan for the cocktail hour. $1,100 for three drummers.

I will be having Island Mystic which is a Calypso Steel Drum band from Bravura. I believe it was $800 or $900, I can't recall!

i am using Adlib, with several drummers( it's a whole group) for my cocktail hour and they play an extra 20 minutes while guest are arriving included. i am paying $700

My best friend just had Andre Phillips (sp?) at her wedding on Sunday - they were GREAT! I don't know the pricing but I do know they were relatively inexpensive as far as these bands go. They're a house vendor for Crescent Beach Club so you can probably get their contact information from them.

I'm using Andre Phillips too. He plays on the weekends at the crescent if u want to preview him. He is charging aroud $600 for 3 performers..the best price around.
He is also a great vendor to work with. He drove up to CT to meet with me, with his CD samples. I signed on the spot. My dad went to listen last weekend, and he loved the band too...
