When to mail out Invitations?

If my RSVP date is 9-18-05..whats the latest I should mail out my invites?

I got my envelopes and Encore also did the calligraphy..all I have to do is put them together and stamp them..

I would say that the latest to mail would be August 18th. Mailing it at this time is giving everyone you invite less than 1 month to reply.

So definitely, put them together soon and mail them out ASAP?!

I agree, your guests should have at least a month to respond. I'd get them out by the 18th, the earlier the better!!

I gave 6 weeks from when I mailed them to the RSVP date, and 6 weeks from the RSVP date to my wedding.

I think more towards 3rd week in August should be good.

In my opinion, you dont want them out too early, b/c then people will just hold onto them and they will sit around, and this ends up you calling more people for their late responses than you had anticipated.....

I did the same thing. His family was horrible with responding to the shower so I wanted to be sure we have time to start calling his side when they don't send back their responses!
