don't worry about that...I think most people know, the mortgage is the easy part...it's the DP on these exorbitantly expensive homes that's the hard part!

we are still up in the air on this one. it all comes down to dollars and cents, and right now, it looks like we don't have enough of either...

Re: buying or renting?

Um...don't know, but do know this:

DEFINITELY NYC (Brooklyn ONLY - Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights, or Bensonhurst)

I think that's a different situation than what y'all are going through on Long Island.

in LI it seems the prices are more reasonable than they are in the city, but those darn property taxes are killers!

I know Chris, I can't bear to leave my beloved BK!

Re: buying or renting?

We are definetly not going to rent or buy on Long Island. I live in Valley Stream and work in Manhattan and the thought of commuting longer than 45 min or an hour or more turns me off. FI works in Brooklyn. We are thinking BK or Qns.

Cant wait to get rid of my LIRR monthly pass!

Re: buying or renting?

We are hoping to purchase a house or at least land to start building one before the wedding so that by the time we're married we'll have a house to live in.
