Dress Shopping Dilemma
I went to Lillettes today for my 10:30 appointment with Jerri. Unfortunately she ended up working with another bride and Carol helped me. I was disappointed because I had heard so many awesome things about Jerri.Carol had a 12 appointment and after an hour and a half I didn't fall in love with anything.
My major issue is that I am looking for the perfect dress style that will enhance my bust!
Its not like I want to look like Pamela Anderson
but I don't want to look like a pancake either on my wedding day.Does anyone have any suggestions for a neckline style that will help my cause? The other thing I like is an A-line skirt.
TIA

Re: Dress Shopping Dilemma
I'm a 36 c, and the lady in the bridal shop told me since I'm not that big, I can't expect to look that big.... all the dresses seem to make me look flat, they like smoosh you down....

That's too bad about Jerri...she is the best. I totally hear you about the 'needing chest help' Don't forget you can add to any dress! (padding)
Good Luck you will find it!

The lady that I worked with today actually suggested SURGERY!
That is definitely not in my wedding budget.
I guess I will give up looking for the Miracle Bra version of the wedding dress.

Thanks Kathleen. I'm sure I will let them sew the padding in. I just can't decide if I will be comfortable in strapless. I feel like EVERY dress is strapless.
How is the teacher search coming along?

Re: Dress Shopping Dilemma
I have to have cups sewn in my dress because it is backless and gravity has found my boobs.I tried on a strapless dress for my nephews Bar Mitzvah the other day and of course didnt have a strapless bra with me. So the saleslady looks at me and says 'Your breasts are supposed to be up HERE.'

Its going...hopefully something will come up.
Did you like any of the dresses that you saw..besides the chest part?? Not every dress is strapless..Maggie sottero makes many dresses with cap sleeves...

Re: Dress Shopping Dilemma
There were two that I liked. Unfortunately I am totally across the board. One was a Jim Hjelm with spaghetti straps. It was basically plain with one band of beading at the empire waist. The second dress I liked was a Demetrios. It was strapless (but I would add straps). It had a lot more beading on the top and it also had a detachable train. I couldn't find a picture of the Demetrios dress. I will look for a picture of the JH dress.

What is wrong w/ theese sales people?!!? I'm sure you are perfectly aware of where your boobs should be and do NOT need her to point it out!!

Re: Dress Shopping Dilemma
I have the opposite problem (bigger chest but trying not to make it obvious in my wedding dress) Try a halter neck, sweetheart neck or even an empire or something with some type of a band right under the chest. I know I couldn't wear any of these styles becasue of my chest issues but they would look great on somebody with a different body type. I tried on like 30 dresses until I found the one...just take your time and have fun...you'll find it!Welcome New Vendors
