I first saw this idea by other LIW brides some of which gave directions. I bought 4 8x10 picture frames and gave it to FH to figure out. He used 'L' brackets to hold the frames together and attached that to a base and a top which he cut a hole in for the card slot. Then he painted it to make it nice and pretty.

What is the top and base made out of? How did you do it?

Also, did you buy one of the 8x10 frames formatted for four pictures or did you do that yourself?

I bought the photo mats separately that allows 4 pics on one frame but some frames come with mats already attached. The top and bottom we bought from Home Depot. We went to the wood section, picked the wood we wanted for the base and top and also bought molding for it to make it a little nicer, then we (or actually he) cut it down to size and started putting it together. He wants to get the top done with our names and date but I think that is going overboard. I like it the way it is.
