Jewish/Interfaith Brides

Where did you purchase your kippot?

I am expecting appx. 200 guests, but it's an interfaith wedding, so I think I may want about 50. Is this right?

Thank you!

Re: Jewish/Interfaith Brides

My mom took care of this, but I'm pretty sure she bought enough for all of the men in case they decide to wear them. Even though they have a different religion, some guests may wear the yarmulkes out of respect. I'd rather have too many than not enough.

Re: Jewish/Interfaith Brides

even though our ceremony will be Jewish style - with a Rabbi only in Rabbi garb, etc. we're not having anyone wear kippa.

we're getting married in the Hall and FH is Catholic. if my dad wants to wear one he has his own. I highly doubt that anyone else would in my family. we're not religious.

You can try Yarmulkes.com. Also I am not sure where you live but Zion Lion in New Hyde Park has them as well

We're using Rabbi Roger Ross. He has been great so far. His wife is a minister so he does a lot of interfaith ceremonies. They also can perform a ceremony together. Since my FI isn't religious, we're having a Jewish ceremony. However, I know the rabbi is willing to incorporate non-Jewish traditions into the ceremony if you want.

Re: Jewish/Interfaith Brides

We are using Rabbi Allen Block from Brooklyn. He is terrific and works very often with our other officiant, Monsignor Jim Lisante.

Re: Jewish/Interfaith Brides

We had a wonderful ceremony from Rabbi Frank Tamburello. He is from an interfaith background himself, considers himself a humanist, and while ordained as a rabbi, performs interfaith ceremonies. Send me a FM if you want more info!
