Question re: 'Fall Theme'

When I began planning, I didn't want to be stuck to one 'theme.' So, I got pretty basic invites, even though I wanted the fall themed ones. Well, now that fall is quickly approaching, I find myself trying to add some autumn touches. How can I do this without it looking tacky?

For my centerpieces, I am getting fall colored flowers (roses, mums, stuff like that). I want to make my place cards in the shape of leaves. My MOH said that I should have leaves put in my centerpiece but I don't want that. I only want flowers. Can I still do the leaf place cards? will it look stupid? I alsp bought leaf confetti and I am going to have a fall themed cake.

It will not look stupid.. I have my girls flowers w/ a fall theme, and my centerpieces are roses, I bought silk fall colored leaves to put at the place card table and then to put on the table..
I may also get the little fall candy wrappers and put some chocolate on the table..
I would definately do the leaf place cards..

I'm doing the same thing. I kept my invitations ivory and gold and I'm using a similar design for our Church programs. I am doing the fall theme at the reception. I'm doing mums outside and a leaf motif on the placecards, menus and table cards. I'm hoping it will be okay.

the leaf place cards are a great idea! I don't think it will look stupid at all. I'm doing a fall theme as well
