Do you ever wish you stayed in contact with old friends from High School?

Yesterday, I found out that a fellow LIWer was an old High School friend. Now talking to her through FM's it is bringing back so many happy memories. There are so many people that I wish I was still in contact with from High School!

I only talk to one person from HS, and she was in my wedding. But there are so many others that I think about all the time, and I wish I knew what they were up to!

Anyone have the same feelings?

ACtually, my three closests friends are friends from high school. For some reasons I have never formed the same relationships with college or work people.

We are going on our 22 year of friendship

My Maid and Matron of Honor were both childhood friends and we graduated together.

Other than that, there weren't many people who I wanted to stay in touch with.

I didn't go to my reunion (neither did my Maid and Matron) because we realized that the people we cared about, we stayed in touch with via e-mail.

Oh, you are so lucky! I went out with an A-hole in HS, and basically became a hermit. I didn't stay in touch with anyone! My whole life revolved around that A-hole! Not to mention, I was never really a sociable person. I was quiet and kept to myself.

Luckily, my DH had lots of friends which over the last 6 years I have become very close with!

all my closet friends (6 total) I have had from at least jr high, one is from kindergarten.

i only keep in contact with the people who ment most to me in highschool.

one of them happends to be Monkeyluv and she is in my wedding!!!

Yes, I sure do. I graduated in '89, I don't know where the heck those people are....

I actually work with & for one of my close friends in high school. It is great to reminisce because we have so many great memories.

My SIL and I graduated with one another and her BF & I were in many classes together. So when we are all together we share stories. Kind of boring for the husbands...

I do on occasion talk to some but not as many as I would have liked to have kept in touch with.

Just a few.
I actually saw one a few weeks ago & he didn't see me & I was going to go over to him, but then I thought it might be weird.

I keep in touch with the ones that I want to.

Actually one friend and I lost touch after HS over some stupid BS and then got back in touch when unfortunately her BIL was killed.

Actually most of my close friends I have known since elementary school. Three of the girls in my wedding party I have known since 1st (1 of them) and 3rd grade (2 of them)

Most of the ones I am no longer friends with there is a reason for it. Doesn't keep me from missing the good times and reminiscing about them though.

I wish i stayed closer with a few friends, other than that i still with the ones who i truly care about!

Yes. I don't know what happened but we all seemed to drift a few years after college. I don't talk to anyone from HS.

Somehow, I stayed in touch with some of mine - even through college, law school, and moving out of state.

One is my fiance.
One is my best friend.
Two are my bridesmaids.

Actually no. I went to 2 different high schools so I dont really have an affinity to anyone. I keep in touch with a ton of people from college and thats good enough for me!

My Matron of Honor I know since the 4th grade.

My class never had a HS reunion but from what people tell me, the people who were A$$E$ then are A$$E$ now. Doesnt shock me. I have to have something of substance to hold a friendship together. NOT just the fact that we were friends.

My class was so small(52) that I was close with most of them thru the school years...

Unfortunately, I only speak to 2 of them now...one was my Matron of Honor...

I loved the closeness, etc when we were in school..I even knew when everyones birthdays were...

I saw 2 old classmates(They are twins) this weekend, and they basically ignored me...and we ahve not really seen each other in almost 10 years...

It was weird..I am stil happy to see old classmates, as I live out of state...and we have our little town of Sag Harbor in common...

i used to be but now im ok with the losing touch.

i ran into my best friend from high school at a party last weekend and sad to say shes still the same

it was like a time warp- looked, talked, acted all the same as when she was 18

still lives at home and all


i think if we were still in touch i might not have become the person i am today
