Our 1st Anniversary Celebration in Easton, Maryland (Kinda long, but added pics!!)

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to let you know about a wonderful getaway weekend location.

Phil and I celebrated our 1st Anniversary in Easton, MD. It was perfect!!!

The traveling time was a 45 minute flight from ISP to Baltimore, then about an 1 hour to 1 1/2 drive to Easton which is a quaint small town with cafes, B&Bs, pubs, shops, and a Farmer's Market on Saturdays.

We stayed at the Inn at Easton. It was AWESOME!!!!! The room we were stayed is beautiful, the layout of the room is perfect. We stayed in the Governor's Suite. I totally recommended this Inn. It's quaint, but the decor is sophiscated too. It is just beautifully decorated.

Here is the website if you want more information:

We basically had 3 rooms, a beautiful bathroom with a claw foot tub, a sitting room with a comfy couch, and the bedroom with the most amazing and comfy king size bed. The decor of the room is beautiful.

The first night we ate at the Inn and the food was delicious!!!! I had the lamb and Phil had the duck, it was so yummy.

The gourmet continental breakfasts are yummy too with homemade muffins and granola and the coffee is so good!!!

Phil waiting patiently to eat:

The day of our actually anniversary we ate breakfast and then walk around Easton. We went to the Famers Markert and then we found a store where you can make your paint and design your own pottery.

Phil and I had such a great time picking our pieces and painting them. We made customized dog bowls and treat cannisters for our 2 dogs and our cat and a wine holder for our Anniversay and a friends's upcoming wedding. It was so much fun and relaxing for us. The woman who owned the shop was so sweet and nice and just made you feel comfortable and welcomed. We sipped our sodas and painted.

Here are some pics of us painting the pottery:

Then we went for lunch and met a couple that was staying at the Inn too and went out to dinner at a restuarant called Columbia, which was alot of fun. We had dinner, good conversation, drank yummy wine and made good friends.

After dinner we all walked back to the Inn and drank some champagne and wine on the porch at the Inn.

The next day, Phil and I checked out and drove to Annapolis. We had such a great day walking about Annapolis, having lunch and going to an Octoberfest Fair.

Me with the pieces we picked:

We flew the 8:20 pm flight from Baltimore to ISP. We were back in our home abu 10:30 pm.

It was a perfect weekend and the travel time was not to long.

It sounds like such a romantic and relaxing anniversary celebration. Yummy food, wine and your hubby - you can't ask for more!

Although I am really sorry to hear about the drunk driver...if it was his 4th offense, why was he driving? Isn't that 3 too many?

Wow, Sounds Awesome! We're not too far from there, maybe we'll take a weekend there ourselves.

As to the Drunk Driver still driving on his 4th offense, uhh, it doesn't seem to really matter whether how many he's had. I mean, all those offenses don't seem to teach him his lesson, so take away his license, he's still apparently going to drive (sober or drunk). Obviously not the sharpest crayon in the box, is he?
