Speaking of the 'cool crowd'....

What were you in HS? What was FH? I was not part of the 'cool crowd'. I think I was to quiet for anyone to really notice me. I wasn't on any sports, I wasn't student body or prom queen. I was just plain Jane.

FH was 2 grades above me. I think he was kinda a bad boy.

Fh hung out with this sort of weird crowd that sort of turned half goth or something senior year (after he stopped hanging with them) I had several differnt groups, I hung out withsoem drama people, music people, and just my group of girls who were ..I don't knw how you'd classify us. A complete mix, racially, culturally, religiously.

Re: Speaking of the 'cool crowd'....

I was a floater, but mainly laid low. I tried a lot of things in high school, volleyball/gymnastics, drama, peer tutoring, chorus, art, so I had many different circles of friends.

Re: Speaking of the 'cool crowd'....

FH was the popular athlete - he was state champ for wrestling and also recruited for college to play football

I think I was just known as a ***** I was so miserable in my small-town PA high school, surrounded by rednecks.

It's so funny because FH and I had SUCH different experiences.

Re: Speaking of the 'cool crowd'....

I was never really in a group. Kinda just the 'leftover' people! I was really involved in the music dept, but didn't quite fit in with them. Such a geek, I was actually in the marching band, and yes we went to camp! I was into drama in my senior year, kinda grungy but didn't go with them either.

FH and I had similar experiences. We were both the smart kids who would rather have their nose in a book than be outside. I was in Honors and one of 3 kids in both the regular and music honor socities. FH stopped attending classes bc they weren't challenging enough for him and just went in to pass the tests.

I don't like this topic, no offense, but it's making me sad.

THERE WERE ALOT OF SUPERFICIAL PEOPLE AT MY SCHOOL WHO CARED ABOUT MONEY CARS DRUGS ETC.

MY FRIENDSHIPS WERE VERY CASUAL WITH JUST ABOUT EVERYONE BUT AT THE SAME POINT, I DIDNT MAKE VERY CLOSE FRIENDS- ONLY WITH PEOPLE WHO LIVED IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD.

MY 'REAL' FREINDS ARE FROM WORK, COLLEGE AND LIW!

Re: Speaking of the 'cool crowd'....

I wouldn't call it the 'cool' crowd..i happen to like the 'popular' crowd. Not to sound like a brat..but i had fun in HS and was friends with a lot of people..all of which ranged in types. I still have very strong ties to my HS crew..we are like a sorority and are very active in each others lives....and it's been like that since we graduation in 93..so i find myelf pretty lucky to have them!

Bad memories. I just wish FH and I had known eachother in HS, things would've been a lot different and we would've found happiness sooner.

Re: Speaking of the 'cool crowd'....

I hung out with everyone. I was an athlete as well as and honors student! I also could party like the rest of them. Fh cut class and played handball all day. He got along with everyone as well. I would say he was like the class clown type! Opposites attract I guess!
