I am soooo done...sorry a vent

Unfortunately I have a big bridal party and I have to say I wish I did not ask many of them. Girls whom I have grown up with my whole life and I was in their wedding parties make every excuse not to be involved and it is just pissing me off. One of them said she was going to plan my bachelorette party still has not done a damn thing but always says she is on top of it. Now since she told my the rest of my bridal party that she was taking control they just stood back hestiantly and let her plan. Tonight I had invited the local ones over for wine and just to b*s and talk about the bachelorette party (which is in 2 weeks) and the one who was planning does not show. She finally calls to say she wasnt coming and when we asked her what plans she has made she told me none....


I am just so sick of no one following through on what they promise. I did everything for this girls wedding and she hasnt helped with mine at all....all I have to say is that I am done with even including her with anything and I guess I will plan my own bachelorette party.

I'm sorry she's being such a biatch. You can still have a great bachelorette party with the people that matter the most.

I know how you feel!!! One of the girls in my BP, has shown no intrest in my wedding or any thing having to do with it, the only time she shows interest is when she feels that she needs to let me know what she dosen't like about my plans. I want her out of the BP, but then again I don't want her out at the same time, because she is a good friend, who I have been freinds with for many years. She is just too negitive about weddings. I just don't know what to do!

I don't understand why people are sooo willing to try and make things unpleast for us brides. It's as if they have no concept of how to be happy in the moment with us. I understand that nothing should stand in our way to be happy, but people like them make it hard. Hang in there!

Try and talk to her face to face. I was also having issues with a FSIL about the weddings, and after some heart to heart, every thing really is cool between us. Good luck!

Unfortunately I understand you whole heartedly... My girls did the same.. absolutely nothing.. It came to the point that I told them that I was going to Okey Dokeys -for crying out loud- for drinks, and if they wanted to show, good and if not that was fine wth me too.. All except for one who lives upstate showed.. FINALLY...

One of my DH's friends girlfriends let me vent to her and she took me out the next weekend with her sisters and threw me a kickass time!!! LOL... Things have a way of working out.. try and stay strong.. GL!!

When my aunt got married my sister got stuck w/ doing everything, and didn't get any recognition for doing it. Her two MOH's just took over everything at the last minute. Although my sister is not as outspoken as my self she was pissed . So, sorry that you have to go through all of this as well. But sometimes when you have a big wedding party, people start to think 'oh well if I don't do it someone else will', or towards the end 'they get jealous, and cold hearted'.

My wedding party is very small, Mysister, and best friend as MOH's, his sister, and my childhood, and still to date friend as my BM's

Hope hope everything works out for you, maybe a cousin, or your mom can through it for you, do they know the situation?

Thank you for your support everyone. This morning my sister called me and told me that she booked a restaraunt in nyc and that everything was taken care of. She reached out to the girls who have been involved and they are all excited about it. I guess I am just a little disappointed with the way some people act. I know that if I promise something to someone I follow through and I thought my friends were the same but some of them have been proving me wrong.


My fiance keeps telling me to focus on the girls who are involved and not to worry about the ones that are not. He goes and those who are a part of everything are your true friends....I guess I should listen to my FH

I understand. My BP is not even that big but they are quite busy as they work and some are parents of over programmed small children. It can be disappointing - trust me. I am sorry you are going through this.

Your FI is absolutely right! Don't let one bad apple spoil the bunch! It sounds like the rest of your BMs are interested and are taking an active role. Focus on that and don't let this one girl get you down.

My girls are all being great to me but not to my Matron and Maid of honor. (tho not many LIKE the Matron). They complain that my Matron wants to do too much for the bachelorette party (spa, dinner, club- they want to cut out the spa even tho my MOHs tell me it wasn't adding that much-maybe 25-30) yet when I say that I'm not registering for big ticket items on because I know money is tight for people and I don't want them to feel obligated (which is true, which is why I understand them not wanting to shell out 25 more...) and the ones who are complaining say that they WANT to get me something big. One even offered to pay for other expensive things. So I don't understand her.

Overall, I think it'll work out.

One of my closest friends was in my Matron's BP and it left such a bad taste in her mouth that she said no to being my BM!! At least she was honest and it kept our friendship strong-maybe even stronger b/c I know she is close enough to be honest!

A LOT OF people go through this....i don't speak to one person i had in my bridal party who i had been friends with for years.

People's true selfs come out during wedding planning (friends, bridal party members and family). I was so not expecting everything that happened.

Some people make it about them and forget about you, while other people don't have the time to be happy for you.

The only advice i can tell you is to just remember what these people did to you during this time. So the next time (or the next time) you can remember and think if the relationship is worth it!

Most of my girls were awesome though and went above and beyond.
