Work Shower - Question about Thank yous
I'm confused about what to do about thank yous for my work shower that was given to me this past Friday. My office was VERY generous with their gifts. Do I send individual thank you's or do I send an email to everyone involved? I think there were actually more people at my work shower than at my regular shower! I'm going to give individual thank yous to the girls that planned it out.
Would it be a faux pax to send it in a nice email?
TIA

Re: Work Shower - Question about Thank yous
I personally would not send an email thank you. I would write out thank you cards to each of them, especially since you said they were very generous... thats JMO.

Re: Work Shower - Question about Thank yous
I would do individual thank you's too. I got one big joint gift and I still sent a thank you to each lady.

Re: Work Shower - Question about Thank yous
Fh's co-workers gave him a 'groom' shower. The company paid for the cake, the gift card and the Emeril pots and pans (he knows b/c he is the one who does the expenses), two ladies planned it and about 40 people came.I wanted to send a TY to every person that came, and he wanted to just send out a mass email. We ended up compromising- he sent an email TY to the ones who attended, and a written card to the two ladies that planned it.
If people gave you gifts individually, I would send a TY to each one.

That's what I was going to do, but didn't know how it would come across. It was one joint gift from everyone.
Thanks ladies

Re: Work Shower - Question about Thank yous
My friend at work just had a work baby shower, and she sent us a quick email the day of the shower thanking us, and then a few days later gave us each a thank you note.
