Re: Repost from BHB: England Honeymoon?
Hi all,I'm from little olde England moved to NY in February, so if anyone would like advice on places to visit whilst in England FM me.
I always say to my friends and relatives from overseas that England has so much to offer out side of London. The beautiful Royal homes such as Windsor castle are really amazing to see as are the homes of Henry the 8th and Winston Church Hill. There are beautiful English villages scattered all over the place and each one has it's own history with cute tea stores and traditional pubs with great beer! London is great but I would certainly recommend taking a tour outside of the city if you have time.

Re: Repost from BHB: England Honeymoon?
We're leaving for London on 11/14 followed by 4 days in Paris. We booked everything through a TA. We thought to do a tour group, but decided since we are on our honeymoon, we would rather be alone and do things at our own pace. We're staying inside London in the South Kensington area. We're also planning a day trip outside of London as well.

Re: Repost from BHB: England Honeymoon?
Hi,There are a lot of small towns and villages very close to London with easy transportation via train, so you can enjoy both.
Some great towns are Brighton right by the sea, a young town, with an excellent night life full of history and the best British fish and chips and only 30 minutes on the train. Canterbury-very old has real old charm with great history, very easy to London. Surrey is a nice town also close to London, and has plenty of cottages and small villages. I could go on but you can FM me if you would like more info.
For anyone who has time it is now really easy to get to Paris on the train from London. Its about 2 and half hours and even if you stay just one night there it is worth it.
