OK- I TOLD MYSELF THAT

I will decide on my hall by the end of this weekend.

Our top choices are:

Carlyle- Friday or Sunday night
Flowerfield- Friday or Sunday night
North Ritz- Sat night
Watermill- Sat night

I would knock out North Ritz and Watermill all together if we could afford the other two on a Sat night but the $ is very expensive.

So the question is, should i go with the more expensive hall, that I love on an off night, or a hall that I like but don't love on a Sat night? I mean, are the more expensive halls that much better- food quality and service wise? or are you paying for the atmosphere- all of which are obviously very important to me.

This is why it is taking me so long to decide.

The Carlyle would be my first choice-Do it on a Sunday night. I have been to the others and love them all-but given your choices-that would be my pick.

I am partial to the Watermill b/c I am a Watermillie myself..... but I would go with the hall you love (if you can safely afford it).

Re: OK- I TOLD MYSELF THAT

This is totally up to you and the style of wedding you want. I don't want to compromise on the Sat night thing because I just like night weddings, and I think sunday night would be inconvenient to myself and my fiance (hard to say that still), and all our guests because most have high demand professions.

If you think you would enjoy a sunday night, go for it! I am looking into more affordable places for a Sat night rather than the higher-end places on a Sunday night.

You know I personally think that people have a good time as long as the food and drinks are plentiful. I went to a really great wedding at a hotel that was not very high end on a Sat night, and have been to a high end beautiful wedding I didn't have that much fun at on a Sunday afternoon. In that sense, I think people have a better time on Saturdays than Sundays simply bc they don't have to work the next day.

Overall, look at your guests and yourself and decide. If you don't mind sundays, go for it. If you think saturdays would be better, then pick the lesser place. I think people would have a good time at the other places on a sat too. You posted a bunch of places that can be a lot of fun for a wedding. Guests really rarely notice the subtle differences between high-end and mid-end places..it's us that fixate on the minutia the most!!!

Re: OK- I TOLD MYSELF THAT

Go with you gut... we went for a saturday afternoon which I didn't want because saturday night was too expensive for us. I am partial to the watermill being a watermill girl but thats up to you. I did have to give up my night time though so I guess i had to do both of what are deciding betwee ... I got the place that I loved but I had to compromise and take afternoon. What does you FH think because this decision should be made by both of you. Go one by one and see which one you both agree on.. thats the one, if there are more then one then do what we did to pick our date cause we had to many, let the dog pick. LOL
