Re: Whats a grooms cake?
its a popular tradition in the south. it's a separate cake for the groom, and it's usually something fun that depicts the groom's personality like a hobby or his job.

Re: Whats a grooms cake?
in steel magnolias, cause julia roberts' hubby to be was into hunting, they had that groom's cake in the shape of an armadillo. lol i love that.
traditionally it's usually served either at the rehearsal dinner or during the CH and is made of chocolate cake and shaped into something the groom is into. i lived in the south for a few years, and thought it was the cutest tradition...and will be having one for my FH in the shape of a shelby mustang.
