Greek Band Question

Hi Girls:

Can anyone give me any input on the band Delta? I'm having a hard time finding a band that is available on the date of my wedding and could use help.

Re: Greek Band Question

I heard Delta at a friend's wedding. They were great. The singer had a very good voice. I would highly recommend them. The only down side to Delta is that they don't have a good selection of American music. I would suggest going with a different DJ for the American songs.

Re: Greek Band Question

We booked a band that works a lot with our DJ, even though they don't come as a package. We didn't get to see them in person, but on video, they did a good job. I'd recommend them, but being that we have the same wedding date, I don't think they can be at two places at once. Delta is very good if you're interested in Greek music only, and reasonably priced.

Re: Greek Band Question

I used Delta at my wedding in July and they were absolutely amazing! They were great to work with, the DJ (which we hired through them as well) was open to our needs and extremely helpful, and the night went off without a hitch! Everyone was dancing all night, they sound great, we had so many compliments on their professionalism and sound quality. if you need any info let me know- their number is 800-945-9097.

Re: Greek Band Question

As far as the American music - you tell them what to play- granted the live music was all Greek, but their DJ will play and has anything you want for any genre of music...

Re: Greek Band Question

I also had Delta and their DJ at my July wedding, they were absolutely amazing. They played all the songs we requested and many more!! The band and DJ will work with you and play exactly what you want.
At our wedding, the DJ did a great freestyle mix that my husband requested- we had an amazing time!!! Our family and friends are still talking about how wonderful they were. The dance floor was packed all night long!!! I highly recommend them. Don't hesitate to book them- you will not be sorry!!!

Re: Greek Band Question

thanks girls. We actually opted for a different band. I'm sure Delta would be great but I was turned off by their hard sell approach. I had already reserved the date before thanksgiving, telling them I wanted to hear them and aking where they play or what clips they can send me. A day later they call advising that we had to book asap b/c coincidentally someone was 'interested' in that date. Not a definite but 'interested. In the end I thought it might just be a sales tactic and I hate feeling pressured by my vendors-that was the reason I declined. Planning is hard enough without your band adding pressure. In any event thank you for the input. We are using another band who I feel really good about.- Best of luck

Re: Greek Band Question

Ive heard they are solid but dont know from personal experience. One band I can give an opinion on thru personal experience is powerstation out of Astoria. The guy that runs it is extremely flaky and a flat out scammer. Some ppl have had good experiences with them, but many havent cause this guy cancels at the last minute for a better gig. My family has used him twice and both times there was last minute nonsense (switching singers, band members, less pieces) which caused a lot of stress. They'll never use them again , thats for sure. I figure that maybe this insight can save people some stress.
