Rosie O'Grady's on 7th Ave and either 51st or 52nd is pretty nice. I'm also a big fan of McCormick and Schmick (seafood) on 6th Ave and 52nd St is pretty nice.

Re: NWR: Can anyone recommend a nice restaurant by Rockerfeller?

Well like less than 200 for 2.
Nice restaurant bottle of wine and entre and app. We did Merchant's last year which was nice.
Nice environment, relaxed and not crazy crowded where we could talk.

Re: NWR: Can anyone recommend a nice restaurant by Rockerfeller?

Lisa-the restaurants around there are going to be busy because everyone is doing what you are doing.

But a few of my favs in the neighborhood are:

Cite'
Maloney & Porcelli
Table X11
Tao-really noisy and busy though
Stella Osteria
City Lobster
Del Friscos

If you want to go a little more south

Mama Mexico-more fun than romantic

I love the Sea Grill! It is so worth the money. It's right on the skating rink! If you go make reservations and request a window seat!!!

I agree, I think it's worth the $$$ too, but it may be near impossible to get a reservation at this time of year.
