Easy Poll: Do you eat....

With paper plates when your home just by yourself? I use paperplates all the time (depending on the food) when we don't have company over...i don't have the time to be washing plates every night we use plastic cups too

NO! I honestly cannot stand paper plates. We ONLY use them for picnics or BBQs.

We have a dishwasher so we always use regular plates, but if we didn't I think I would use paper more often.

My dog is afraid of the dishwasher (it is quiet, but it scares her for some reason), so I try to eat with paper alot to minimize the amount of times we need to run it off (esp in the winter when she doesn't want to go outside)!

We just got a dishwasher (came with the house) but we don't like to run up eletric that doesn't need to be run up. so we mainly use it for major events like dinner partys etc...
we will run it every once in a while but not every night...that would be alot i think.

I personally hate paper plates and plastic cups. If it was up to DH,that would be our 'Lenex'. As for running the dishwasher,I do every night..I work all day,cook a meal every night-last thing I want to do is wash dishes. It was long ago that I decided that I would never short change myself or cut corners by inconveniencing myself. 5 bucks more or less on the Con Ed bill - I could care less.

We use paper plates and cups all the time, except when we are having people over. It's so much easier to just throw the stuff in the trash, then to do the dishes every night. FI freaks when we run out of paper cups.

For breakfast i don't like eating off paper plates, yuk.

for dinner though, i don't mind....just seems different!

Now I use paper/plastic - I have no dishwasher & I hate doing dishes. When I have people over-even FI-I use real stuff.

Our new apartment has a dishwasher-so I will put the plastic away starting this Saturday!!!

good question...

i buy paperplates from costco like 1 per 2 months which is 7 bucks... i not a lipa expert but i know its gotta be more electric then normal to run an appliance then 4 per month

i use real plates and plastic non-disposable cups. we had glass cups before but hub keeps on breaking up. he broke a couple of nice plates already. for some reason he never has a problem with ugly plates.

Never. We actually bought Ikea plates and silverware for 25 people for parties because we hate paper plates and plastic forks.

I cant see eating dinner off of paper plates, especially in my own house. I know its easy to just throw them out, and less clean up, but, if I can spend time cooking a nice meal, I am not going to serve it on a paper plate, and can certainly spend 10 minutes loading the dishwasher. However, I only use the dishwasher if we have people over. When its just the 2 of us, I do the dishes.
