Jewish Brides - Ketubah question

Are you using your Rabbi's Ketubah, or are you ordering one?

I saw a website on LIW and checked it out - www.artketubah.com and her work is so amazing! I'm in love - but they are $305.00. I think its hand painted - is that a decent price?

How far in advance do you order the ketubah?

Re: Jewish Brides - Ketubah question

We ordered one online, by Amy Fagin - We fell in love with her work.
There are so many places to choose from - We ordered from Shopketubah.com - it was delivered in time, and they were very nice to deal with.
Hope that helped

Re: Jewish Brides - Ketubah question

We ordered one through a website for a store in brooklyn - VERY reasonably priced:

http://www.zionjudaica.com/

And I'm very picky... it took me months and months to find one I liked.

We also ordered our yarmulkes from there as well and they were also very reasonably priced.

Re: Jewish Brides - Ketubah question

If you like ArtKetubah, you should also try Ketubah Studio (recommended by my rabbi, and has some work from Nishima Kaplan, the same artist who owns artketubah) and a site run by the same company, Ketubah4less.com. I think $300 is the average price I've seen, but ketubah4less does have some creative designs for around $100.

I figured $300 was pretty reasonable if you're looking to hang it in your home as artwork and get a design you really love and that expresses the two of you. I think the $300 prints on artketubah are glycees (high-quality prints, on good paper, etc.) and the hand-made ones, which are personalized, cost more. I'm not an art expert, but it sounds good for limited-edition work and I have seen boring paintings sell for much more!

Re: Jewish Brides - Ketubah question

We got ours from Yussel's in Merrick and we love it. It's a Mickie Caspi, very reasonably priced (but I was looking for something on the low price range). I haven't been able to get it framed yet, but I know that once we do it'll be gorgeous.

Re: Jewish Brides - Ketubah question

We are getting our Ketubah from our officients.Since we are inter faith they give us an INTERFAITH KETUBAH, it's really pretty. Before I knew they were giving us one I checked out www.ketubahs.com
also www.allthingsjewish.com
or www.everythingjewish.com
It's either one or the other I'm not sure if it was all or everything.
