Holiday VENT...I know people have already vented about this BUT

NOW I need to...Ok just went to buy Christmas cards for my family! My family is big into cards so its a huge deal every occasion.

Now there is slim pickins 2 days before Christmas BUT......................
why is it bad to say 'Merry Christmas' in a CARD????!!!!!!!!

We do have a seperate Christmas and Hanukah sections so people who want Christmas cards can buy those cards and people who want Hanukah cards can buy those cards.

I chose one for my mom and it was beautiful...it alluded to Christmas but only said Happy Holidays! So I wouldn't buy it and bought a less beautiful card that said Merry Christmas!

girl, i am right there with you. our company sends out a 'holiday' card and if you were to get one you'd have no idea what it was for....inside is says 'seasons greetings' in 4 languages...i hate that its almost bad to say christmas.

sad but very true. My company does the same thing. I guess their trying not to offend anyone and stay 'politically correct'.

I went last night and found the complete opposite - I couldn't find a nice card for my mom with out one comparing my heart to a wreath, and my love is big as a tree...need I go on? Talk about slim pickins'!

As for the whole 'Merry Xmas' ban, it's really so silly. My FH has the O'Reilly factor on all the time, so I get the latest and greatest.

WHAT??? I've never heard of this. I know people try to be PC but honestly can't we give it a rest already. If you clebrate Christmas say Merry Christmas to everyone and if you celebrate Channakah (really bad sp?) say Happy Channakah same goes for Kwanza or any other holiday. I work in a place where my mom and I are the only ones to celebrate Christmas and when she left today she wished everyone a Merry Christmas and they were totally fine with it.

I could see a company doing it..because there are people that do not celebrate Christmas or Hanukah BUT I know that my Mother who does to church every Sunday definetely celebrates CHRISTMAS! Why is it that her card cannnot say 'Merry Christmas'??????????????

I so agree with you Kathleen.. Believe me. Its horrible. Whatever.. Just keep the faith in your heart. No one can that that away from you
