question for those giving jewelry to their bp to be worn at the wedding

If you ladies are giving your girls their wedding day jewelry as part of their gift, when are you doing that and are you telling them before hand.

I ask b/c one of my bm's was asking what type of jewelry I wanted them to wear. I told her we'll figure it out when the dresses are in, but I don't know what to say going forward.

Will you tell them prior to giving out the gifts, or make something up- like, I don't care, as long as it's silver (or gold, whatever)?

I told them not to buy anything. Jewelry is a common gift so I am sure they will figure it out. I plan to give it to them at the RD.

thanks. however my girls are like me...not really bridal party veterans so none of us know what is 'common' or what to expect (hence why I sometimes seem clueless- it's b/c I am! )

I told everyone not to buy anything & that they will be given something...I think iti s almost a given that most bride's give their BP some type of jewlery to wear the day of!

the bride told us not to buy any jewelry to wear for the wedding - so we didn't.

Im going to give it to them at the RD, if they ask me anything about it b4 hand I will just let them know that I have something in mind dont get anything just yet -

I am doing jewlery also...some of them have asked already and all I said was not to worry about it yet b/c I need to figure it out first!

I told them not to get anything, but didn't specifically tell them I was getting it for them. I will be giving it to them at the RD.
