how did you decide on colors?

Did you always know what color scheme you wanted? Did you find it in a magazine??

I am having the most difficult time picking the BM colors...

My one sister did red, my other sister did navy...so I don't want to do the same...

But I can't decide! I spent hours last night looking but haven't come to any conclusion... I love Pink and brown but I am afraid of the whole men wearing black tuxedos not matching...

How did you decide?

Re: how did you decide on colors?

I decided based on pics I have seen and what colors I like and feel go well together..I went with pink and brown. Choose something you like and that you find yourself gravitating towards.

I decided based on the time of year.

Red, silver and black.

How did you decide?

My colors were chocolate, with hints of ivory and gold. The men wore black tuxes and everything looked gorgeous!

Re: how did you decide on colors?

That was the hardest thing for me too.
I finally decided on pinks and oranges.
It took me four months to decide!

Re: how did you decide on colors?

I wanted to do pink and brown too but i don't love how it looks with the black tuxedos either. So I think I'm going with black and pink. It's pretty classic, and the girls will definitely be able to use the dresses again. I will also have touches of ivory/champagne. HTH!

Re: how did you decide on colors?

This was hard for me as well, I wanted red first, then pale yellow, then black, then silver, and I went black to deep red again!!!

I finally saw a bo-k in deep red that I fell absolutely in love with, and that was it for me. Plus I joked I was keeping with the family tradition. (Both of my SILs had red for their weddings)

Re: how did you decide on colors?

Since I couldn't decide I picked out a dress first and then looked at what colors it came in. When I fell in love with their raspberry color I decided raspberry it is then!

Re: how did you decide on colors?

I have always known my color scheme because purple is my favorite color. I knew I wanted shades of violet, so I found the BM dress I loved and then chose the shades of lilac and lavendar that the dress comes in.

I agree with the suggestion that if you have no idea, you could find the dress first and then decide based on the colors it comes in.

Same here, I picked my scheme (sky blue and silver) because I like those two colors and they are elegant as well.

Re: how did you decide on colors?

I always new what I wanted, and it just so happened that my colors (sage and coral) are spring colors. It was a matter of finding dresses that came in those colors or significanly close. It's not a problem though. I'm not stressing. You'll know when you see the colors and fabric in person. Sometimes pictures do the colors no justice.Good Luck!!!!

Re: how did you decide on colors?

I had no idea I would go with red. We picked the bm's dresses in red (they only came in that color), and so the bm's dresses kind of determined the overall color scheme.

Re: how did you decide on colors?

For as long as I could remember (even before I even knew who I was going to marry), I knew I wanted a Christmas wedding, so I wanted my girls in red, but now I am thinking about having the girls in gold. I think that it would be different and look really nice. I am very undecided now, and it is so funny that was the one thing I knew I wanted for YEARS! Funny how tings work. But I think I am going to leave the choice up to my sister (MOH). Which ever she decided, I will be happy with. But I do want her to love it.

Re: how did you decide on colors?

My FH is color blind so I asked him what colors he would like to see, he said pastels are good. We're having a June wedding so it fit perfectly, and I decided to go with lilac. Then to give it some accent I decided to compliment it with silver.

Re: how did you decide on colors?

I originally wanted Champagne but then someone told me that not everyone will look good in that color. One night I had a dream about a dusty blue bm dress (a crossbetween sky blue and periwinkle) so that's how I decided. I will probably use Bill Levkoff for the dresses as they have the color I dreamed about.
