Does anyone else have this issue - Update with pics

I need high shoes cause I am a shrimp. Im 4'11' and my FH & my MOH are 5'11'. I dont want to look stupid in my pics..like alittle girl compared to them!!

Bad thing is I wear comfortable shoes most of the time (i'm not a girlie girl), so I guess I better start practicing in high high heels.
Edited to include.....
ok... so the first shoe is what I am looking at (3 inches, ill still be short)
The second one is what we need ladies!!!

I have the opposite issues... me and FI are the same height.. so I don't know if I should get heels, or ballet slippers!

Re: Does anyone else have this issue

Haha, I've just given up on this one! I'm 4' 8'. My MOH and BM are both around 5'6'/5'7' and my Jr. BM -- my 12-year-old cousin -- is pretty much my height. So our 'theme,' if you will, is that the bride will just be the short one!

Oh, and my FH is 6'. There's really not much I can do to look even close to his height! Oh well!

Re: Does anyone else have this issue

I think I would rather be short and have to wear heels because I have to put my poor FH in lifts if the pics are going to come out right because we are the same height and even if I wear ballet slippers--with my veil (puffy on the top of my head) it will look like I am taller than him!!
Whatever shoes you go with-- wear them a lot around the house before the wedding so you break them in. Also, try to go with something that is secure on your foot so it is easier to walk in. GOOD LUCK, I'm sure no matter what--you'll look great. -Dani

Re: Does anyone else have this issue

My SIL had this problem. She's 4'9' and my brother is 5'11'. She had these high platform heel shoes on which brought her up about 3 or 4 inches. They weren't the stripper type platforms, they had a thick chunky heel. A lot of the shoe companies carry this type of shoe.

Re: Does anyone else have this issue

Who says we need to wear high heels? We should celebrate our shortness!!
Plus, your photog can probably do things with poses/camera angles that won't put too much emphasis on the height difference.

Re: Does anyone else have this issue

I cannot say I've ever not been tall enough. I've always been the tallest or close to it out of my friends. I'm 5'7', Fh is 5'9'...I'm not sure which shoes to wear either - all the shoes I love are going to make me taller then him!

Re: Does anyone else have this issue

I have the opposite problem, I'm 5'11and my FI is 5'9. I'm only wearing a 2 inch heel. Some people recommended ballet slippers, but my posture is 10 times better in heels. And good posture looks great in pictures. I'll wear the slippers at my reception.

Re: Does anyone else have this issue

I am 4'11, however I have been wearing heels for as long as I can remember and will be wearing heels up until after the first dance. Then the slippers will be put on!

Re: Does anyone else have this issue

YesI have this issue. FH is a lot taller than me and I'm definitely wearing pretty high heels. I plan on wearing them for church, pics, first dance and then see how it goes from there. I'm going to bring a pair of platform flipflops to wear and slippers just in case.

Re: Does anyone else have this issue

I have the same issue as you girls! I am 5'2 and FI is 6'6. I thnk I am not going to get high heels because I want to be comfortable and the height difference molds who we are...I don't think pics will lokk bad because thats how you and your FH are and thats how others know you...not some really tall girls b/c of shoes. I might get medium heels but nothing crazy..

I'm 5 ft, DH is 5'10. I wore 3 inch platform flip flops. My dress hid them and I was very comfortable.

I'm 5 feet and my FH is over 6 feet too! It's insane! I'm sure I'll wear high heels for the ceremony and part of the reception, but I know I'll bring another pair. I dont think any highheel that will make me somewhat taller will be comfortable though!
