Need Help from the Wise 05 ers

I'm having trouble chosing a DJ. In my opinion this is one of the most critical decisions, because if your DJ is bad it can ruin your party. I'm looking for someone who plays a good mix that keeps everyone on the dance floor. I met with Body Rock and Tommys Tunes...any one have any feedback? Also, does anyone else have any other good recommendations?

I used Music by Michael and he was wonderful. Great to work with and kept everyone on the dance floor.

Tommy Tunes. Great, my grandma loved them, which if you knew my grandma she always complains about wedding music. She was up and dancing her 79 year old tushy all night. They are great

i used satisfaction guaranteed. they had everyone up the whole nite. the mc vinny was the best.

I used tommys tunes and Im still getting raves about the dj. Everyone especially loved Joe E, my mc. Check my review, when you get the chance.

Bravura - the DJ at the WOTY - was our DJ/ MC

They were great- classy and we added in a live piano singer to get a live music feel without paying for a band

Body Rock was our DJ and Anthony and Mitch were our guys for the night. They did an amazing job. The dance floor was packed all night and I still get calls from people for their info. Everyone loved them but most importantly DH and I loved them. We were so happy that we booked them. From start to finish everything went smooth and they exceeded our expectations.

I would strongly suggest you meet with Mike LoBasso from Dash of Class, you can visit there website, www.dashofclass.com.

Mike had EVERY guest on the dance floor, I never seen anything like it...it was great and till this day everyone tells me they had the best time at my wedding and that my DJ was awesome!!

Also, we gave Mike a pretty good idea of what we wanted our reception to be like, he met all our expectations and more.

I second Music by Michael - he was wonderful from start to finish & I would use him again in a heartbeat. He played great variety, the dancefloor stayed packed, but he wasn't an in your face DJ, which was very important to us.

I regret not having an MC, my DJ was so not interested in getting people on the dancefloor!!!!!!!!!!!!! Next time i hire a DJ i definately want an MC.

We met with Tommy's Tunes, and we've heard great things about them, but they really weren't flexible with us on some things. The woman we met with insisted that we must do the father/daughter mother/son dances (we really didn't want to do these), and she was adamant about a couple other things. Generally, she rubbed me the wrong way, and I thought they were a bit pricey also. In the end, we wound up choosing a jazz trio, which was really more of what we wanted.

I have heard very positive things about Music by Michael, though I never met with them when I was searching. I think I didn't hear about them until after we were finished with this part of the planning.
