Are u getting your FH a wedding gift?

My Ex-Co-worker got a Mercedes Benz for her wedding gift. She got her Groom a watch.
Is anyone going to have any money left over for the Groom Gift?

I don't think so. Everyone who I know who got married and said they were going to get FH a nice gift (like a Tag watch or something) never ended up having the money left over to get him anything. So we aren't even going to try - we'll get each other something on the HM.

A Benz... Thats more than my wedding

I wanted to get something for him and he wants to get me something.. but I highly doubt we can afford it. Reality hasn't hit us yet!!

Edit...
I just asked FH if i can get a Benz for my gift.. and he said sure - he also said we can get married in it & have our honeymoon there too!!

I bought him an engagement present..I didnt think it was fair that I got a gorgeous ring and he got nothing..so I bought him a Louis Bolle watch...not sure what I am going to get him for a wedding present yet..I feel like I should though..

My FH is under the assumption that only the bride buys the groom a wedding gift (kind of in exchange for the engagement ring)

I am buying him a 4th degree sword to wear for the ceremony. He tried to get his grandfather's but his uncle won't give it up (even for a day! ). So we'll start our own tradition and hopefully pass it down one day.
