BM same color as my sister?

My sister had red BM dresses...Her wedding was in feb 2004.

You think it matters if I use red also, only a slightly diff. shade?? I didn't want to do the same, but I love the red. What do you think?

I don't think it's a really big deal, as long as your sister is ok with it. I love red and also using it for my BM dresses. Just be sure that everything else is different like ur dress, Bo-ks, etc....

Trust me, it doesn't matter. I was joking that it is a family tradition for us to have red BMs. My 1st SIL picked a tomato red, my other SIL picked claret, and now I'm picking bordeaux. All different shades of red, but I'm keeping it in the family!!

Do what you want-she shouldn't care because her wedding is over, and frankly, no one else will remember...

As long as it's not the same exact shade it shouldn't matter at all. When I was looking at BM dresses I ran around with a swatch from the dress I wore as my sister's MOH to make sure I didn't get the same color. My sister and I look a LOT alike, and I didn't want anyone confusing our wedding pics at a glance.

What matters is only whether you are okay with it. If you like and want it - go for it!!!
I personally have a 'thing' -- being the youngest that I want to be different than my older sister, so I probably wouldn't choose it. But - that's just me.... I know tons of people who have had their wedding at the same place as older siblings. Dress color isnt a big deal -- previous posters are right. Probably very few people would notice!
