Spinoff of wedding song: Why did you pick that song?

We are doing 'Better when we're togetehr' by jack johnson. When that cd came out i was obessed w/ it and w/ lisening to that song. A few wks later FI proposed so every time i listen to that song now, i remember last spring and how on cloud 9 i was !!!

Plus the lyrics are AWESOME and we LOVE Jack Johnson

That song makes me cry. It is very deep & emotional & reminds us of how we feel about each other.

We chose More Than Love by Los Lonely Boys, bc that's how we feel about each other. Plus I think it's cute bc the first time FH said 'I love you' he started off by saying 'I more than like you' before gettiing up the courage to say what I had been waiting for!!

I really liked their song Heaven and was listening to the CD at work one day. When More Than Love came on I had to stop what I was doing bc I had started to cry, I just sat there and listened to the words. And I just knew! I told FH to listen to it, that it was 'us' and he agreed. That was the 1st wedding plan we made!!

OMG that was our original one- that or 'Green Eyes' but i went w/ JJ instead bc of...wellt he reason i stated above.
Im hopig to get Yellow in there another way

FH picked our song...originally we wanted to use After All by Peter Cetera & Cher (our song since 2001)

But one day, FH heard You're My #1 by Enrique & fell in love with it...He wanted something original, so there you have it!

My FH was getting a divorce when we started dating, but not yet divorced (she had moved out, they had lawyers).... I broke up with him b/c I didn't want to date him while he was still technically married, but he sent me the song & lyrics and it made me cry and I called him and said I didn't care... so our song is 'You' by Freekbass. I e-mailed Freekbass & told him the story and asked him to play at our wedding and he said he would as long as his schedule would allow it! I didn't tell anyone buy you ladies - I don't want to get my hopes up... My FH would be sooooo thrilled!!

Our song 'Back at one' by Brian McKnight
This song was pretty much a given for us because it came out the year we started dating and we always listened to it together and Fh would always sing it to me. There was no argument when it came time to pick our first dance song

Our first song was 'What Would I Do Without You?' by Ray Charles. We wanted a song that not many people had but that was truly beautiful. Ray definitely has all of that! One day while we were driving, DH told me that he had a song that makes him think of me every time he hears it. So he put it on and I loved it. Then when DH found out he had cancer, we would dance to the song every night together. Once we got engaged we knew that would be our first song. There were a lot of family members crying during our first dance because they knew that we would come home and dance to it. And I must admit, that every time I hear the song in my head or hear the piano and trumpet part in my head, I get goose bumps just thinking about it.

We got engaged in Hawaii and happened to hear a song on the radio by Jack Johnson who is from Hawaii. While we were there we bought his CD and drove around Maui listening to it.

When the song 'Better Together' came on, I said to FH, everything is better when we're together. And he agreed and said this should be our wedding song. It was settled!

Aww! What a cute story! I love when guys are into songs like that! Where can I listen to that song? I tried Limewire, and it's not there! It sounds interesting!

Our wedding song is By Your Side by Sade. The song just fits us perfectly. Plus, we both cried when we first heard it after we had our first argument.

At Last by Etta James is a short, simple song of how we feel about finding each other. We are in our mid-30's, and until we met, both felt like we would never find the 'one'. The song says 'At last, my love has come along' and it couldn't be more right!
