wow. has it hit you yet?

It just hit me... I just looked down at my ring and realized: 'Wow.... I'm actually getting married. I am getting married. I am going to wake up in the mornings with Jeff next to me and make breakfast together and have a home together and make a life together.'

Wow. I am twenty-two years old and I have already chosen the person I am going to spend my entire life with. This is really it. In fact, this has been it since I was sixteen. This has been it always. He's always been the one.

It should be a scary thought, thinking that this is it, that I haven't even really done a lot of dating, that essentially I'm picking the first one I tried on, and usually you want to shop around a little bit... it should be terrifying. I should be doubting and wishing I could go try on a few others...

But this is the one. I have known since the night I met him that he was something special, that he could be something amazing in my life. I even wrote it in my diary (I was sixteen, it's ok to have a diary when you're sixteen).

And this is it. This is it. This is everything. Sometimes you don't have to try on every dress in the store. Sometimes the first one you see is just the one that fits you best.

i think eveyrone IS different. some ppl have to try on a lot of 'dresses' (lord knows I SURE DID!) LOL

but i think it's great when you feel great about the ONE.

wow you sound exactly like me- we met when I was 17 and got engaged at 20 and that was it-no shopping around- i didnt even really have another boyfriend (other than those 2 month high school flings) -Im scared- but I know Im making the right decision But in the end its going to be great and fabulous

LOL I know what you mean. We've been together for 8 years and I'm 24! I feel like I've always known. I told him when we were together about 6 months that he'd want to marry me someday He said we'll see. I told him I was right! LOL. I have never been one that needs to do much looking around to know what I want. I usually know what I want when I see it. I tried on about 5 dresses and the one was in the top 3 on my list so I was a little worried about the fit but pretty sure I'd love it. Sometimes you just know. I'm not too worried about spending the rest of our lives together because we're different but very much alike at the same time. We just work.

Yeah, I know the feeling FH and I do this ALL the time like WOW we are getting . Imagine how it will feel when you have children. . . its going to be like WOW we are parents . We have been dating since I was nineteen, but we met during my senior year of high school. He said when he first met me he said 'that is going to be my wife' funny thing is I couldn't even remember his name well here we are five years later getting hitched.

You are a very lucky and blessed girl.....

Because God knows I tried them all on, in every different shape, size and color, window shopping, browsing, and trying on the hold dang thing....and we are talking many....However...looking back, I don't regret it...I would have kissed 10000 more frogs to get to my prince!!!

Aww! That happened to me the first time I tried on a dress in a bridal shop. I've tried on several others, but when I went to the last one, the woman put a veil on me, and I just started crying...she asked me if I was okay...and I responded 'I'm getting married!!!!' She looked at me as if she was thinking....yes, that's why you're trying on a wedding gown.

I guess it just made me realized it's actually happening!

ive tried on and was obsessed with many dresses before finding the right one ... but after I found 'the one' I knew that it was going to last a lifetime. Its amazing how you 'just know' as soon as you meet someone.

until saturday it didnt 'hit' me.. I picked up my actual dress did a little shaking as i put it in the car... then went to get my engagment ring cleaned with FH.. and we looked at wedding bands.. i found the perfect one and im like man .. im a bride.. like ill be a MRS.. someones wife.. ive found the man of my dreams.... after oodles of frogs too i might add...

well ladies we are all very lucky!!!!!!!!

it actually just hit me this morning......lol...i ordered my dress yesterday and i think thats why....lol...its def a great yet weird feeling

it's funny that everyone is talking about that b/c after trying on my wedding dress on Saturday it totally hit me for the first time that I am actually getting married, it is sooooo strange to see yourself standing up there all dressed, it gave me the chills

I got the same feeling 2 weeks ago when I tried on dresses for the first time - it just made everything seem so real. i too tried on a few 'dresses' before settling for the one i love and I couldn't be happier - there's a sweet comfort in knowing that i'll be spending the rest of my life wearing a dress that i feel totally comfortable in and that will always fit me whether i get fatter or skinnier. (hope this makes sense lol)

my fh and i arent officially engaged yet.. like theres no ring but we're practically engaged and we're both planning everything now. we know that we're getting married in oct next year (or maybe late september) so when i get my ring officially.. im sure i'll get this feeling. or when i go look at dresses i'll get like that. i went with my aunt for her dress and i cried when she tried on a dress. we're like sisters more than anything (we're 5 years apart and lived with eachother for 19 years!!) she didnt actually get that dress (although i adore that dress) but seeing the official dress and the vail put on, i had a million emotions running through me. when thats me up there, i dont know if i'll be able to keep it together.

my fh and i have been together since i was 18 (i'm 22 now) he's 29 now so i grew up with him kinda.. i dated other guys but when i realized i was in love with him, i knew this was permanent. no way i could ever leave him.. god i love that man haha
