Thatched Cottage. We thought it was absolutely beautiful. But it's really out of the way and the food couldn't compare with Chateau La Mer!

Re: What reception hall was your second choice???

Hard to say....would probably have been Chateau Briand or Leonards.

Chateau Briand we were getting an insane deal, but I wasn't crazy about the room we would have had, and Leonards I had heard a few horror stories about, so that's what made me hesitate.

Re: What reception hall was your second choice???

We didn't look at many but we were gonna go with the Coral House until we saw the WM. We liked the food, the room was beautiful and the staff was great
then we both fell in love with the WM and got a great deal

If not for Jericho Terrace, we probably would have wanted Giando's on the water. I LOVE that place.

Re: What reception hall was your second choice???

Our second choice was Villa Borghese. I love it, I had my prom there, but it was much, much cheaper to have it at the church.

Re: What reception hall was your second choice???

wow, interesting thread!

Honestly, we didn't have a runner up. we only saw 4 venues total... the first 3 were definitely not for us. once we saw the Swan Club it was a done deal! we stopped looking as soon as we found it

Re: What reception hall was your second choice???

I saw quite a few and from what I saw it would probably be Giorgios, but then again If I didnt book EW I would have kept looking- Lands End was where we were on our way to before my father asked if I REALLY wanted EW (cause I did) and I said yes, and we drove there instead!

Re: What reception hall was your second choice???

Interesting question. I had to look it up because I couldn't remember the name of the hall! Our second choice of places we could afford was the Old Field Club, our first choice of places we couldn't afford was deSeversky.
