Caribbean & Florida in August???

Hi ladies,
FH and I originally wanted to book a mediterranean cruise for our HM, but couldn't find any convenient sail dates on cruise lines we were familiar with (only costa cruise and mcs were available-never even heard of them before!)

Another option was a 7 day cruise to Grand Cayman, Belize, Cozumel, and Costa Maya, Mexico, then 7 days in Disney.
Does anyone know if those places are affected by hurricanes during that period of time (8/20-9/2)? And if so, any other recommendations of destinations? TIA!!!!!

All of those islands have the risk of being hit by hurricanes that that time.

Aruba, Bonairre and Curacao are the only Caribbean islands that are out of the hurricane belt.

Hurricane season begins June 1st, unfortunately for me in FL.

i went to puerto rico once in august and we were fine. the next summer, my FI booked a trip with his friends to south beach. they cancelled because a hurricane was predicted for that weekend, and rescheduled for a later weekend in August, and guess what? Hurricane hit that weekend too!
