VEGAS!!!! My bachelorette party weekend!!!!

OMG where do I begin…..

Well I was surprised at the Airport on Thursday when they whipped out a HUGE button that said “Warning, Bachelorette’s last night out, What Happens in Vegas, Stay’s in Vegas” I was so surprised, I cried, it was so overwhelming to know that my MOH and her sister a BM had went through so much trouble to do this for me. They totally had me convinced that it was just gonna be us three b/c it was such an expensive trip, yada, yada, yada. I was just so excited about going to Vegas I didn’t care, although I was slightly hurt that no one else had made the effort to attend my Bachelorette Party Weekend.

We get off the plane in Vegas and SURPRISE my favorite cousin (who is like a sister to me) was there in her shades looking like Jackie O. I was so overwhelmed with Joy I cried again!!! Now it was four of us and I knew we were gonna have a great time. We start looking for a restaurant in the airport because we’re all so hungry. My cousin tells us to hang out for a minute because she wants to go to the ATM. So she leaves and she comes back about 15 minutes later with my MOM and my brother’s girlfriend. NOW the waterworks really started flowing. It was such an incredible feeling to have all the people I love want to share this special time with me. BUT, it didn’t end there. Thursday night we went to have a late night snack, and SURPRISE, my two other cousins and their brother was there. He lives in California and drove up with his wife and daughter which was so great because he gets shipped to Iraq on March 29th. ( please keep him in your prayers) So it was a great surprise to be able to see him before he gets ships out. He will be in Iraq for 14 months, w/o any US leave while serving so it was a special time for us all.

We stayed at New York, New York. I must say, that this hotel is AMAZING and so beautiful. Everyone was so friendly and nice. BUT, we saw a lot of the hotels and casinos and I have to say they were ALL spectacular in their own right.

For all you ladies that are going to VEGAS, words of advice:

- Take comfortable shoes to walk in, the Strip is LONG

- If you don’t want to walk, there is a bus (The Deuce) that for $5.00 you can ride ALL DAY, (24 hours from the first time you use it).

- I suggest you do the buffet at the Paris hotel – their food and hotel was AMAZING!!!

- Take a jacket with you, right now the weather is cold in Vegas, although it was supposed to be warm this week, but it got chilly at night

- Buffets were the best deal for your money, we did the ones at MGM Grand (beautiful), Paris (Amazing) and at The Mirage (Champaign brunch, yummy Mimosa) All the food was DELICIOUS.

- If you’re going to go out clubbing you MUST go to the RumJungle at Mandalay Bay. If you’re into hip hop, old school and having a great time, you MUST go to this club. Not only was the music awesome the club itself is beautiful, it had waterfalls throughout. We had the best time there. We partied all night long and had a fantastic time.

- If you’re going to do a “Male Review Show” I strongly and highly suggest that you go to the American Hero Show at The Riviera. The show was awesome, the men were absolutely GORGEOUS, and the music afterwards was OFF THE HOOK!!!! I’m not sure if any of you ladies saw the VH1 show “Strip Search” BUT if you did, the men who won on the TV show are the men in the show and I must say they were completely and totally amazing. PLUS, it was done very tastefully, I’m not too into strippers and I definitely don’t like “raunchy” but this place was great. They were very classy, they don’t even let you tip the guys (no dollar bills needed) but don’t worry ladies you still get a great show and a little something something to take home.

Overall I have to say VEGAS WAS INCREDIBLE!!!!! Pictures will come as soon as I get them. Most of the girls stayed until today, so I should have some for you by Wednesday, but I just wanted to share my GREAT time with you ladies!!! If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to FM me.

Aida, sounds like you had an awesome time. So glad that you got to spend time with all your close family and friends. The club and buffets sound amazing. Congrats!

I'm so glad you had an amazing experience, especially with all your 'surprise' guests!

So glad you experienced the Paris Buffet - that is off the hook, and I got in trouble b/c I 'stole' a napkin and stuffed all the macaroon's I could fit into it....

I will keep your cousin in my prayers, as he makes his journey to Iraq.

OMG, that hotel is so beautiful. You are going to love staying there. They have a ride in the Eiffel Tower (spelling??) There is so much to see and so little time.

ohhhhh that sounds soooo amazing!!! What fun! Your advice is correct! lol FH and I went on vacation there and found the same thing to be true but several people we knew thought we were crazy to do buffett's and bus! We loved it though!!!!!

It's soooo great you got to se your cousin! I know how it feels my cousin and his wife just got back. He's in my prayers.
