I also like the roses since they look more springy and fresh. The callas give more of an autumn feel.

I love both. But the first one looks too fallish for spring. I would put more white in both of them. Like maybe alter the yellow lilys (I think thats what they are) with white ones as well or maybe some babys breath. Just something to break up the yellow and give it a more spring like look.
The second I think looks more like a spring CP. I would though put more white in those as well. Mabe closed white roses or tea cup sized. Its just a suggestion.

Re: Which centerpiece? - please help me pick w/pictures??

I'm not a huge rose fan in general, but I like the rose one better. I think the shape is more appealing and full. The colors complement one another nicely as well.

I love the roses. I think that would make a beautiful centerpiece. And it fits the vase favor you picked,,,,they both are unique.

Re: Which centerpiece? - please help me pick w/pictures??

Thank you girls for all your replies!!!!

I like the look of both!!! I am thinking of doing both...mixing them up.......

I am doing the centerpieces myself...I am buying the vases in Ikea, putting the lemon slices in and even some oranges and then just putting the flowers in from my florist.....simple and easy..

for anyone interested in doing the frozen vodkas (which I am doing), this is how you do it...very easy..

from Martha Stewart

Frozen Vodka

A bottle of icy vodka makes a dramatic bar decoration when it’s encased in a frozen layer of colorful flowers and fruit.

Place a full bottle into a fully opened cardboard half-gallon milk carton. Insert flowers or thinly sliced fruit (we’ve used nasturtiums, lemons, and limes) around the bottle, filling one third of the carton. Pour water into the container, just covering the fruit and flowers. Place the carton upright in the freezer. When the liquid is completely frozen, add another layer of fruit and very cold water, and freeze. Repeat, filling and freezing a third of the carton at a time, which prevents all the fruit and flowers from floating to the top until the water reaches the bottle’s neck. Remove from the freezer when it’s time to serve the vodka: Cut away the milk carton with a utility knife; wrap a dinner napkin around the bottle’s base, and serve the vodka with slices of lemon zest tied in knots.

Not a stupid question at all!!

I guess it works like an ice sculpture.....will drip a little bit....if there will be 90 degrees out I guess I will skip the idea.....

I saw an arrangement that Martha Stewart did (see below) and then I came up with the idea of combining the lemons & fresh flowers.....instead of the whole thing I though about the slices....I got the vases at Ikea and the flowers from my florist...
