Should I send them an invite???? (a bit long...sorry...I need advice)
Ok, so 2 of my so called friends were no shows at my shower. 1 of them RSVP'd for herself and said the other one was coming too. Then the day of my shower, 1 of them calls my sister and leaves her a voicemail 2 hours before my shower and tells her they have an 'emergency' with the shop they are opening up and can't make it. I was hurt and disappointed that they werent there especially since they RSVP'd. My mom was PO'd because she paid for them thinking they were coming!Anyhoo, it's been bothering me the last few days that they didn't show up, they never called me afterwards to see how it was and to apologize for not coming, and I just checked my registries and all the gifts I received are accounted for meaning they never got me any present. Which tells me they never had intentions of coming. DO I STILL SEND THEM INVITES TO THE WEDDING???? Now mind you, these are the same 2 'friends' that I have mutually in common with the ex-BM that I've had problems with in the past. I thought we worked everything out, but it seems they've taken her side. WHAT DO I DO? I'm mailing the invites this weekend!

Aside from the ex BM, Do you have the same circle of friends? I ask b/c if you continue to run into them, it may get awkard but if you don't mind severing all ties I would def not send them an invite as they show complete disrespect to you and your family.

OK, depends what you want to happen as an end result. If you do not invite them, then the friendship is basically over on your doing. If you do invite them, they either come and the friendship will go where it will from there or they do not come and you see who they really are and know that you did all the right things.I am so sorry you are going through this, believe me I am in such similar circumstances and I chose not to invite her.

IMO, the 'no show' was done to spite you (and support the ex-BM)Unless they open up the channels of communication and explain what happened, I wouldn't invite them to the wedding.
