Any non-diamond engagement rings? Post pics!

When my FH and I decided that I would like to have a Peridot in my engagement ring instead of a diamond, I thought I would get comments like 'You couldn't afford a diamond?' kind of thing.

Instead, I got a lot of compliments on it, and we were able to afford a bigger center stone and to have it custom made because of it!

Peridot is my birthstone and it's green so it's also my favorite color. I have a lot of green jewelry to go along with it too, so it was a great choice.

Did anyone else go for something besides a diamond for their center stone? Would you all be able to post pictures of your rings (diamond or not!)?

I would love to see everyone's rings. C'mon, I just KNOW you all have pictures of them!

I don't have a picture, but I know someone with a LARGE blue sapphire (I think) e-ring, it has diamonds on the sides, set in platinum.

They both do very well for themselves, and live in Manhattan, so $$ was not the issue, she just wanted something different.

It's really quiet beautiful!
