DJ Question-Vinny High Voltage Sounds

Can anyone give me any feedback about Vinny from High Voltage Sounds? I have read so many great reviews about him, but I am starting to hear some negative stuff now and I am getting nervous. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!!

I am booked with him and have no concerns. Look at it this way. You will never find a vendor that gets 100% positive reviews since everyone is different. What you should look for is that there is more good reviews than bad. Also feel free to address the bad with him and hear his side.

a bride that just had her wedding used them and they really screwed things up for her...showed up VERY late, etc. etc......totally stressed the bride out and was completely unprofessional. more details on the 06 boards....

That makes sense, he has had so many good reviews that I was really confident about my choice, but then I was afraid that I made a hasty decision. Once I heard the bad review, I started to panic. Thanks for the input!

thats why I started to doubt my decision b/c I read that review and figured out that it was him. However, thats the first really bad review I have heard so I am not sure what to think-maybe it was a fluke?? I don't know, now I am stressed! I was totally confident in my decision until I read that! So disappointing to hear!

thats why I started to doubt my decision b/c I read that review and figured out that it was him. that's the first bad review i have read about them also....since you already booked them, I wouldn't sweat it that much. there are a bunch of great reviews about then too.

I used Vinny for my wedding in January. I had a really great exeperience with him and posted about it in my review. If you have any concerns, let him know that you read a negative review about him and discuss it. Hopefully that will put you at ease.

This is a grea idea!! Not all vendors can be perfect all of the time and sometimes things happen. I have e-mailed a few of my vendors regarding reviews I have seen and they have cleared my mind of any concern.

Thanks for the idea, I think I will do that. You're review was one of the ones I read before booking him and I was so confident with the decision. I think I will email him to just check up on it, and I will keep my eye out for future reviews. Thanks for the info and advice, this site is great!!!

We booked with Vinny on the spot. He is very friendly and we asked him about some things we read on the boards and he glady discussed.

I wasn't sure if that one review in question was about him.... (still hoping it's not....)

But I'm sure if you ask him about it he will be happy to explain.

I have no doubts or worries about him.

I actually spoke to him about this review and gave him a chance to tell his side. There are always more than on side to a story.

I'm sure when that bride has a time to think the day over and possibly talk with Vinny things may get resolved.

i would love to hear his side of arriving super late to a wedding.....I mean the bride has a point - couldnt he have called to say he was running late?

We just used him for our wedding and he was great.
I agree you should contact him and discuss it with him.

I think it's a good idea to investigate a bit more when you read a 'bad' review. We all like to hear about them and it is very helpful. Especially when we read about a bad review regarding a vendor we booked or is considerong booking.

Unfortunatelly, we are only hearing one side of the story.

my friend used them for their wedding...and she had no complaints....I'm sure you will be fine!!!
