nwr- need a good doctor in long beach

sorry to do this on bhb..was hoping for a quick response...my friend has some health issues and recently moved to long beach. she needs a good internest/primary care..

can someone recc. a good doctor??

not sure about LB but I see Dr. Castiglia in Island Park. The office's number is 670-8800 but make sure she gets the appt. with Castiglia or Kayrov, do not see Dashveski.

Try Dr. Gelfand, he's right on East Park Avenue. There are like 10 doctor's offices in houses on that strip.

His bedside manner is terrible but you get appointments quick, the office staff is really nice, and he gets you what you need and gets you out of there.

There is a doctor on East Olive Street that I went to that was beyond terrible. The office was old and musty and he refused to give me antibiotics for bronchitis. Put my on pill and inhaler steroids instead, and I didn't get better for weeks. I went to Gelfand, had a scrip for Biaxin in 10 minutes and was on my way to recovery.

I know, more info than you needed, but just wanted to illustrate my experiences with them.
